What Do I Get when Buying a Graco Classic Wood Highchair?Chairs are among the excellent stuffs a baby needs. Parents consider that quality high chair should be accessible to children. The Graco Classic Wood Highchair is just one of the examples. It is made of warm wood and has a unique design. This item can be used for years and even for generations. There are various incentives when purchasing a Graco Classic Wood Highchair. The top features of this product include wood styling, removable plastic tray cover and quality construction. One thing that I like in this product is that it provides me with modern conveniences like a cushioned, wipe clean seat pad, 3-point harness and a clear dishwasher-safe, pull-out tray insert that shows off and protects the wood finish. Then, as the child grows, you can take off the seat pad and switch to the smaller snack tray and voila! I now have a toddler chair. Older kids can also use it comfortably to reach the dinner table or do homework on the kitchen counter. To stress, one thing that I really like in the Graco Classic Wood Highchair is its subtle design and high-quality construction. I also enjoy the chair’s removable clear plastic tray cover that protects the wood without hiding it. Listed below is a list of more advantages that Graco Classic Wood Highchair can offer: * This is a very sturdy wooden high chair that is easy to assemble. The back is curved and it is a very attractive chair. * The seat cushion is prettier to look at compared to the picture. The cushion ties snap on and just look like they are tied. I have not washed it yet but small spills wipe off easily. The harness can also be removed easily for washing also. * The plastic cover tray is also nice and snaps on securely enough without being hard to remove. Even though it says safe for dishwasher, you can just wash by hand. It wipes down easily. If you want to use the tray without the plastic cover you may want to add a layer of clear coat. The following though, are the drawbacks for this chair: * The chair does not tilt back and the crotch post does not allow for any adjustments to cater different-sized babies. * It is also more expensive than highly rated plastic models like that of the Fisher-Price Rainforest Highchair. * One deficiency that was found out is the bar in the center between the child’s legs. It is not adjustable and there is something wrong with the design. It goes too far back in the seat. The screw covers need to be removed and drilled. When I tried to pry it off, I did not realize that it was also glued. Since it ended up peeling off a thin layer of wood and finish, I had to use wood filler. * The manufacturer’s description was also ambiguous. It says that the Graco Classic Wood Highchair’s snack tray, when removed, can still be used for the toddler. However, the chair’s height cannot be adjusted. It cannot be used as a regular table since the toddler would have to do a lot of leaning. It can be used though for a breakfast bar or counter.
