Co-Sleeping – Is It Good for You and Your Baby?
Ever since human kind came on this earth, mothers have felt safe with sleeping with their babies by their side. They have also found it convenient to have their babies sleep with them at night. It has only begun two centuries ago that babies started sleeping apart from the parents. There has been research that states newborns that sleep with their mothers have a tendency to not cry as much and nurse from the bottle for longer periods. Many may not agree with us on this one, but Co-sleeping with your baby may just be the best route to take because it gives your baby that extra nourishment they need and it also gives that extra bit of protection.

Also, parents who sleep with their baby may be preventing their baby from developing SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Babies who sleep with the mothers tend to sleep through the night and develop an increased awareness of when the mother is around. In order to determine if sleeping with the baby is right for you, then you have to consider the habits of the parents. If the parents smoke, drink alcohol or do drugs, and then the baby could accidently get smothered at night. For thousands of years, co sleeping has been practiced until recently. There are so many benefits of co sleeping and there are few disadvantages. When it comes to sleeping with your baby, you should use your own judgment.
